Woman with cocaine breast implants arrested in Spain

A drugs mule was stopped by Spanish airport border police as she tried to smuggle cocaine in breast implants.

Authorities said they arrested the Panamanian woman, who arrived in Spain from Bogota, Colombia, as she walked through customs at Barcelona airport.

She had 1.38 kilograms (3 pounds) of cocaine concealed in her new breast implants. Border police stopped her after noticing fresh scars and blood-stained gauze on her chest, as well as pale patches beneath her skin.

The woman said she had recently had breast implant surgery. Police were apparently suspicious and sent her to a local hospital where the implants were removed and found to contain cocaine.
